The farmers are requesting an increase in the purchase price of milk to 75 dinars ($0.70/0.64) without value-added tax (VAT), from 60 - 65 dinars at present.
They are also seeking an increase in subsidies to 40,000 dinars per cow, up from 30,000 dinars per cow at present, and 300 euro ($325) per hectare of arable land.
These demands were rejected by prime minister Ana Brnabic on Monday.
