BELGRADE (Serbia), May 21 (SeeNews) – Serbia has successfully completed the trial for the production of Russia's Sputnik V vaccine and the first doses will be ready for delivery in the next 15 to 20 days, Nenad Popovic, minister without portfolio in charge of innovation, said.
"Russia's Gamaleya Research Institute has officially handed us with a certificate that shows that the vaccine produced in our Torlak Institute is of the same quality as the vaccines produced in Russia," Popovic said as seen in a video file posted on the website of public broadcaster RTS on Thursday.
Serbia will receive the substances needed for the production of the first batch of about 100,000 Sputnik V doses in the next 10 to 15 days and the first vaccines will be available in the next 15 to 20 days, Popovic said.
Serbia started production of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine at the Torlak institute in Belgrade under trial mode on April 14, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) said back then.
