May 8 (SeeNews) - Serbia's northern province of Vojvodina has launched a tender to seek a contractor to carry out works on a 14.5 million euro ($15.6 million) energy efficiency project, supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the lender said.
Interested parties face a June 24 deadline to participate in the tender, the EBRD said in a statement on Tuesday.
The project envisages the energy efficiency rehabilitation of some 80 public buildings in Vojvodina. It will also require energy audits, design, project implementation unit (PIU) support consultancy and works supervision services, the EBRD said earlier this year.
The bank is providing a 12 million euro loan to support the project. The remainder comes from a 2.1 million euro grant from the European Union (EU WBIF REEP Grant) and a 400,000 euro grant from Sweden’s development agency, SIDA.
