October 12 (SeeNews) - Serbia started virtual talks with an International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission to discuss the achievement of goals defined by the economic programme for the country, it said.
The talks, part of the first review of the economic programme defined by the Policy Coordination Instrument (PCI) for Serbia, will be held until October 22 and will focus on current fiscal, monetary and overall macroeconomic developments, the central bank said in a statement on Monday.
The IMF approved in June a new 30-month PCI for Serbia to support the recovery from the pandemic, maintain macroeconomic stability, and anchor the medium-term fiscal policy framework, while pushing ahead with structural reforms to help deliver more inclusive and sustainable growth.
The programme is of advisory nature and does not envisage financial support.
