July 25 (SeeNews) - Serbia signed a contract worth 265 million euro ($292.8 million) with state-run road operator Putevi Srbije and Srbija Autoput for the design and construction of a 22-km bypass road in the southern city of Kragujevac, the government said.
The bypass is part of a project for infrastructure development and institutional strengthening of local governments in Serbia (LIID project) worth around $300 million. Under the LIID, 145 local government units receive grants for the implementation of infrastructure projects.
Serbia's partners in the project are the World Bank and the French Development Agency.
