April 15 (SeeNews) - Serbia has confirmed nine more deaths from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), bringing the death toll to 94, as the total number of infected people rose to 4,465 as of April 14, the health ministry said.
Seven men and two women at an average age of 68.6 years passed away as a result of COVID-19 in the 24 hours until 3 pm on April 14, the health ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
Since the previous update on April 13, 2,440 persons have been tested for the virus in Serbia and 411 of them were positive, the ministry said.
A total of 3,006 COVID-19 patients were hospitalised as of April 14 and 131 of them were on mechanical breathing.
Health minister Zlatibor Loncar announced the first case of COVID-19 in Serbia on March 6.
