April 14 (SeeNews) - Serbia has confirmed five more deaths from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), bringing the death toll to 85, as the total number of infected people rose to 4,054 as of April 13, the health ministry said.
Three men and two women at an average age of 76 years passed away as a result of COVID-19 in the 24 hours until 3 pm on April 13, the health ministry said in a statement on Monday.
Since the previous update on April 12, 2,646 persons have been tested for the virus in Serbia and 424 of them were positive, the ministry said.
A total of 138 COVID-9 patients were on mechanical breathing as of April 13.
Health minister Zlatibor Loncar announced the first case of COVID-19 in Serbia on March 6.
