- Serbia will call a tender for a second domestic provider of fixed-line voice services on Friday, Telecommunications Minister Jasna Matic said, adding that bidders with at least one million subscribers will be considered only. Telekom Srbija is the sole provider of fixed-line services in Serbia.

- Serbia will invite five low cost carriers, including Ryanair, easyJet and Wizz Air, to acquaint them with the local market in view of the likely easing of visa requirements for Serbian citizens travelling to the European Union from the beginning of 2010, unnamed sources from the country's Civil Aviation Directorate said.

- Serbia ranked 83rd in the world in terms of corruption perception this year, compared to the 85th position it held last year, corruption watchdog Transparency International said in its Corruption Perception Index survey.
