December 2 (SeeNews) - Serbia's government introduced a cap on oil, flour and sugar prices in a bid to offset the impact of inflation and prevent market disruptions, it said.
The price of edible oil cannot exceed 219.99 dinars ($1.96/1.87 euro) per litre, while the ceiling for T-500 flour has been set at 84.7 dinars per kilogramme, the government said in a statement following a meeting on Thursday.
The maximum price at which sugar can sell is 114.99 dinars per kilogramme, it added.
The government has also extended the ban on fuel exports for a further fifteen days.
