August 17 (SeeNews) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said on Thursday that Serbian state-owned railway infrastructure operator Infrastruktura Zeleznice Srbije is inviting tenders for the procurement of five heavy-duty motor tower cars for overhead contact line maintenance.
Infrastruktura Zeleznice Srbije will use part of the proceeds of a loan from the EBRD towards the cost of procurement of machinery for maintenance of electro-technical infrastructure, the lender said in a statement.
The bidding deadline is October 17.
Heavy-duty motor tower cars for maintenance of the overhead contact line are necessary for modernisation of conditions of the current and investment-requiring maintenance of the overhead contact line, EBRD said.
Infrastruktura Zeleznice Srbije was established as a joint stock company in 2015 under a reorganisation plan implemented in railway operator Zeleznice Srbije which saw the uncoupling of the different sectors into separate companies.
