BELGRADE (Serbia), April 25 (SeeNews) – South Korea's Deputy Minister for Office of Civil Aviation, Suh Hoon-Taik, has said Incheon International Airport will aim to transform Belgrade Nikola Tesla airport into an air travel hub on the Balkans if it wins a concession contract to operate it.
South Korea has a serious interest in the project and is ready to share its experience in managing and running airports with experts in Serbia, Hoon-Taik said in a video file posted on the website of Serbian private news agency Beta on Sunday.

Last week, the Serbian government extended the deadline for submitting non-binding offers in the tender for awarding a 25-year concession contract for operating Belgrade airport to May 25.
Incheon Airport is among the 27 companies that have sent letters of interest to participate in the tender.
Earlier this month, Hoon-Taik led a South Korean government delegation on a visit to Belgrade. The delegation met Serbian infrastructure minister Zorana Mihajlovic and expressed interest in launching a direct weekly flight connecting the two countries.
The Serbian government owns 83.1% of Aerodrom Nikola Tesla, the operator of Belgrade airport, which booked a 22% year-on-year rise in net profit to 21.6 million euro ($20.1 million) in the first ten months of 2016.
