June 13 (SeeNews) - Yandex Go, a subsidiary of Russian technology company Yandex, will open its largest international office in Serbia’s Belgrade on June 15, the city government said on Tuesday.
Yandex Go director general Andrey Snigirev and Belgrade mayor Aleksandar Sapic discussed the cooperation between the company and the city in view of boosting the efficiency and sustainability of urban mobility in the Serbian capital, the city government said in a statement.
The company entered the Serbian market in 2018. Apart from deliveries, it offers taxi ordering and advertising services.
In November last year, Yandex opened a research and development (R&D) centre in Serbia which will employ more than 800.
Yandex builds intelligent products and services powered by machine learning, according to its website. It operates in ten countries and has over 18,000 employees.
