February 10 (SeeNews) - Romania's UniCredit Bank said on Wednesday it posted a net profit of 222.1 million lei ($55.4 million/49.4 million euro) in 2015, up 177% as compared to the previous year.
The bank's operating revenue fell 3.3% to 1.3 billion lei, while operating expenses fell 3.8% to 666.2 million lei in 2015, the lender said in a statement.
Operating profit fell 2.7% to 596 million lei in 2015, while cost-to-income ratio fell by 0.3 percentage points to 52.8%.
At end-December the bank's total assets climbed 6.7% on the year to some 30.6 billion lei. The lender's loan portfolio edged up by an annual 4.1% to some 19.7 billion lei, while deposits increased by 11.5% to 18.1 billion lei.
On consolidated level, UniCredit Bank achieved a net profit of 269.5 million lei in 2015.
In August, Romania's UniCredit Tiriac Bank changed its name to UniCredit Bank after earlier that year UniCredit Bank Austria AG raised its holdings in the Romanian lender to 95.6%.
