January 13 (SeeNews) - Romania's SIF Moldova [BSE:SIF2] said on Monday that it has repurchased 550,741 own shares in the period January 6-10 at an average price per share of 1.5946 lei ($0.37/0.33 euro).
SIF Moldova paid a total of 878,197 lei for the repurchased shares, the company said in a bourse filing.
As at 14:40 CET on Monday, SIF Moldova shares traded 0.92% higher at 1.645 lei on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
SIF Moldova's share repurchase programme targets 2 million own shares, or 0.1996% of its capital, at a price of up to 2.2 lei per share. The programme will run until February 28 and will be serviced by BT Capital Partners.
SIF Moldova managed assets worth some 2.25 billion lei at the end of September, with most of its investments in the financial and energy sectors.
