December 13 (SeeNews) - Romania’s average net monthly wage rose by a real 8.4% year-on-year in October, following a 5.4% gain in September, the country’s statistical office, INS, said on Wednesday.
On a monthly comparison basis, the real net wage increased by 1.6% in October.
In nominal terms, the average net monthly wage rose by 17.1% on the year in October, while rising by 2.2% on the month, to 4,692 lei ($1017.9/943.4 euro).
In October, the computer programming, consultancy and related activities sector reported the highest average net wage at 11,127 lei. The lowest net average wage, of 2,591 lei, was recorded in the accommodation and food service industries.
