March 4 (SeeNews) - Romanian luxury real estate developer Nordis Group plans to invest 31 million euro ($37.34 million) in the construction of a hotel and residential complex in the central city of Brasov, it said on Thursday.
Works on the 14,000 sq m hotel and apartment complex Nordis Brasov are scheduled to begin this spring, while completion is expected in 2023, Nordis said in a press release.
The project will comprise five different buildings, which will offer 158 hotel rooms and 43 residential apartments.
"We estimate that with the opening of the airport in Brasov, the number of foreign tourists will increase considerably, and this aspect will translate into an excellent occupancy rate at the hotel " Nordis Brașov managing partner Daniel Penciuc said.
Works on the passenger terminal of the new airport in Ghimbav, near Brasov, started in March last year, data from Brasov municipality website showed.
Nordis Group was established in 2008 and comprises seven companies active in the hotel industry, real estate development, construction, real estate consulting, architectural services and real estate management.
