October 25 (SeeNews) - Romania's M3, the broadest gauge of the country's money supply, grew by a nominal 16.2% year-on-year to 536 billion lei ($126 billion/108 billion euro) in September, compared to a 17.8% increase in August, the central bank, BNR, said on Monday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Romania's M3 money supply rose 0.5% in September, BNR said in a statement.
In real terms, September M3 was 9.4% higher on the year and edged down 0.3% on the month.
Romania's M1 rose 21.5% on the year to 382.9 billion lei last month, compared to a 23.7% growth in August.
Net foreign assets rose by an annual 14.6% in September, reaching 248.5 billion lei, while net domestic assets rose by 17.7% to 287.4 billion lei.
