January 12 (SeeNews) - Romania's industrial sales rose to 12.4% year-on-year in November, after adding 17.2% in October, the country's statistical office, INS, said on Friday.
November industrial sales were influenced by a considerable annual growth of sales in mining and manufacturing, INS said in a press release.
By main industrial groups, energy sales surged 22% and sales of capital goods increased 16%, compared to November 2016.
Sales of non-durable goods expanded 6.9%, sales of durable goods went up 7.7%, and intermediate goods sales climbed up 11.2% on the year.
On a monthly comparison basis, Romania's industrial sales fell 0.7% in November, following a 3.0% advance in October.
In November, as compared to October, energy sales went down 1.3%, sales of intermediate goods shrank 2.3% and sales of non‐durable goods declined 0.3%. On the other hand, sales of durable goods went up 0.7% and sales of capital goods added 0.5% on the month.
In the eleven-month period, industrial sales rose 12.4% on the year, INS figures showed.
In 2016, Romania's industrial sales increased 4.7%.
