February 18 (SeeNews) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) appointed Romania's finance minister Eugen Teodorovici as one of its vice-presidents, the country's finance ministry said.
Teodorovici will share the EBRD vice-presidency with Lithuania's finance minister, the ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
Teodorovici is also the chairman of the Board of Governors of the European Investment Bank and the Council of European Economic and Financial Affairs (ECOFIN) in the context of Romania's rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Romania joined the EBRD member in 1991.
