November 15 (SeeNews) - Romania's Electrica [BSE:EL] said on Friday that its board of directors has approved a 39.2 million lei ($9.1 million/8.2 million euro) increase in the company's capital expenditure plan for the year, to 778.2 million lei.
Most of the additional funds - 33 million lei, will go towards investment projects of Electrica's unit Societatea de Distributie a Energiei Electrice Transilvania Sud, Electrica said in a bourse filing.
The remaining 6.2 million lei will be used to supplement the investment programme of another Electrica subsidiary - Societatea de Distributie a Energiei Electrice Transilvania Nord.
As at 10:50 CET on Friday, Electrica shares traded 0.45% lower at 11.15 lei on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
Electrica, in which the Romanian state owns a stake of 48.8%, is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange.
