October 4 (SeeNews) - Romanian do-it-yourself (DIY) retailer Dedeman said on Wednesday that it will open its 60th store in the country on October 5, in the southwestern city of Craiova, following a 33 million euro ($34.7 million) investment.
The store covers an area of over 16,000 sq m and was built on a land plot of 30,000 sq m, Dedeman said in a press release.
The building's parking comprises nearly 600 parking spaces, of which 361 on the rooftop. The store is the second one Dedeman opens in Craiova.
The new store also has a 350 kWp photovoltaic (PV) system which provides electricity for self consumption.
Dedeman, founded in 1992 by two Romanian entrepreneurs, has some 12,500 employees. The company owns 60 brick and mortar stores and five logistics centres.
