July 2 (SeeNews) - Romanian oil and gas prospecting company Dafora [BSE:DAFR] has started drilling two wells for Israeli upstream companies Givot Olam Oil and Globe Exploration, it said on Tuesday.
Dafora plans to reach a depth of 5,000 metres within 18 months at one of the wells and a depth of 6,000 metres in two years at the second one, Dafora said in a statement.
Both wells are located in Israel and the assignments include a two-year extension option. Due to the large potential of the oil fields, chances for extensions and for mobilising new installations are very high, Dafora said.
Last year, Dafora said it had signed a contract worth some $12 million (9.1 million euro) with Globe Exploration for drilling a 6,000 metre deep well for the company.
