BUCHAREST (Romania), May 10 (SeeNews) - Romania’s competition council said it has authorised Viceroy Private Capital LLC’s takeover of Dayco LLC, both U.S.-based companies.

According to the announcement published on Monday, the council has expressed no significant concern regarding the effect of the transaction over competition within the Romanian market.

Viceroy Capital LLC is part of a group under the control of Patrick James, whose portfolio includes Romania’s Trico Wipers. The latter is a car part manufacturer based in the southern city of Ploiesti.

Dayco LLC is a supplier of parts for construction, automotive, and industrial companies, headquartered in Michigan, U.S. The company is owned by a large number of stakeholders.
