December 28 (SeeNews) - Romanian managers in December remained mostly pessimistic about the performance of the country’s economy in the three months through February 2011, the country’s statistics board said on Tuesday.
Managers in the industrial sector expect decreased output, a drop in the number of employees and rising prices through February, INS said in a statement on its website.
Managers of construction companies expect the number of employees and the output to decrease, while prices of construction works are expected to stabilise.
Sales volume in the retail sector is seen falling and the number of employees is expected to stabilise, whereas retail prices are seen rising in the three months through February.
Managers in the services sector expect demand to stabilise and number of employees to fall through February. Prices are expected to remain at the same levels.
For its December survey Romania's statistics board interviewed the managers of 8,087 companies operating in the four sectors.
