February 1 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Romania in 2018 rose by 6.3% on the year to more than 12.8 million, the country's statistical board, INS, said on Friday.
Tourists spent 28.4 million overnights in Romania in 2018, up 5.7% compared to the prior-year, INS said in a statement.
In December alone, the number of tourists staying in Romania rose by 4.2% on the year to 816,800, while overnights were up 3.2% to some 1.59 million.
