BUCHAREST (Romania), May 8 (SeeNews) – The indices of the Bucharest stock market ended mixed on Wednesday, as daily turnover rose, bourse data showed.
The blue-chip BET index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange [BSE:BVB] edged up 0.01% to 5,310.26 points.
The BET-BK, which tracks the 25 most traded companies on the bourse, including the blue chips and the five regional investment funds, the SIFs, fell 0.8% to 1,013.69 points.
The composite BET-C index inched up 0.51% to 2,925.61 points.
The BET-FI, which tracks the SIFs and property restitution fund Fondul Proprietatea [BSE:FP], fell 2.53% to 23,887.07 points.
The ROTX index of Romania's 15 most liquid stocks, a joint index of the Bucharest bourse and the Vienna Stock Exchange, closed up 0.3% at 10,763.47 points.
The bourse's total equity turnover rose to 68.55 million lei ($20.9 million/15.9 million euro) from 39.5 million lei on Tuesday.
Blue chip Fondul Proprietatea ended 0.3% higher at 0.6625 lei in the session's highest turnover of 7.58 million lei.
SIF Transilvania [BSE:SIF3] registered the second largest turnover of 6.1 million lei, closing 24.76% lower at 0.474 lei.
SIF Oltenia [BSE:SIF5] rose 0.75% to 1.35 lei in the day's third-largest turnover of 1.57 million lei.
The BET-XT index, which tracks the 25 most liquid companies on the bourse, went down 0.89% to 478.29 points.
The BET-NG, which includes companies from the energy sector and utilities, edged up 1.58% to 651.0 points.
The Rasdaq-C, the composite index of the over-the-counter market RASDAQ, rose 0.04% to 1,424.45 points.
Turnover on the RASDAQ fell to 97,563 lei from 104,695 lei on Tuesday.
