June 21 (SeeNews) - Hungarian drug maker Gedeon Richter said on Thursday that the Romanian Drug and Medical Devices Authority, ANMDM, has suspended the operating licence of its Romanian wholesaler subsidiary Pharmafarm for violating the good distribution practices.
Pharmafarm employees are currently developing corrective and preventive measures to be submitted to ANMDM, Gedeon Richter said in a press release.
If ANMDM accepts them, Pharmafarm will get back its licence.
The six regional warehouses of Pharmafarm drug wholesaler were acquired by Richter in 2007.
As a member of the Richter Group, Pharmafarm works closely with the group's physiotherapy network and currently employs 500.
