October 31 (SeeNews) - Romania's Bermas brewery on Wednesday reported a net profit of 3.04 million lei ($1.317 million/911,400 euro) for the first nine months of 2007, down from 4.5 million lei a year earlier as revenues fell.
Company officials were not immediately available to comment on the results.
In March, Bermas said it expected its net profit to fall to 3.98 million lei this year from 4.49 million lei for 2006.

Bermas, located in Suceava, northeastern Romania, produces the Bermas Pils, Calimani and Suceava brands of beer.
Heineken Romania is the leading brewer in the country with a market share of 26.7% at the end of 2006. Other top players are Interbrew Romania, a unit of Belgian Inbev, SABMiller's Ursus Breweries and Tuborg Romania.
Bermas shares closed down 2.78% at 3.5 lei on Wednesday.
