October 7 (SeeNews) - The loan portfolio of Romania's commercial banks declined to 295.4 billion lei ($90.5 billion/66.6 billion euro) at the end of August from 304.5 billion lei a year earlier, central bank data showed.
The banks' deposit portfolio rose to 203.6 billion lei at the end of August from 193.7 billion a year earlier, the central bank said in its monthly bulletin published on Friday.
