August 26 (SeeNews) - Serbian footwear maker Progetti doo plans to open a second factory in the northern Serbian city of Sombor in the first half of 2017, Proggeti representative told SeeNews on Friday.
Construction works on the plant in the Vojvodina region will start in autumn. The equipment has already been purchased and if everything goes according to plan, works will be completed in the spring, Proggeti’s representative Ljiljana Jovanovic added. The project will create 150 jobs.
Progetti doo, founded in 2001 by two Italian brothers, Romano and Enrico Rossi, has three manufacturing sites in Serbia - one each in Sombor, Vladimirci and Vrsac, where it employs 450, 430 and 100, respectively.
