February 14 (SeeNews) - Czech Republic-based investment group PPF has expressed interest in participating in Montenegro's project for introducing electronic services in the tax administration, the Montenegrin government has said.
PPF has confirmed its readiness to cooperate with Montenegro in the electronic fiscalisation project in view of the experience and finished solutions which the company has implemented in several countries, the Montenegrin government said in a statement on Thursday after prime minister Dusko Markovic met with PPF telecommunications director Ladislav Bartonicek in Podgorica.
Montenegro's parliament adopted in August a fiscalisation law providing the legal basis for the introduction of an electronic system for submitting data to the tax administration in real time.
During the meeting, Bartonicek also presented the plans of PPF regarding the preparations for introduction of the next generation of 5G mobile telephony in Montenegro, the government said.
In July 2018, PPF completed the acquisition of Norwegian mobile operator Telenor's telecommunications assets in Bulgaria, Hungary, Montenegro and Serbia for 2.8 billion euro ($3 billion) on an enterprise value basis.
