June 4 (SeeNews) - UK-based commercial and residential property developer Poseidon Group said it will open a retail park in Croatia's Krizevci, some 70 kilometres from Zagreb, later this year, local media reported.
The Krizevci Capitol Park shopping centre will be developed in two phases, news portal podravski.hr reported on Monday.
"This summer and autumn, the town will welcome leading brands in the world of international trade such as Interspar, Bipa, Pepco and Tedi, but also other names which will increase the offer of the retail park. The local community can enjoy the new concept of shopping and entertainment. Our investment in Krizevci will also provide job opportunities for the local population, in the sphere of trade and construction", the news portal quoted James Gunn, corporate affairs director of Poseidon Group, as saying.
The company did not confirm or deny unofficial information that it will invest some 15 million kuna ($2.3 million/2.0 million euro) in the new retail centre, but Gunn said that more details will be published soon, podravski.hr said.
This year and next, Poseidon Group plans to open five more retail centres in Croatia where it opened a retail park in the coastal town of Makarska in 2013, then one in Split, podravski.hr said. The company already operates several retail centres in Serbia.
Last week, Poseidon Group opened a 10 million euro retail park under the Capitol Park brand in Zajecar, in eastern Serbia.
