September 26 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) gained more than 0.50% each thanks to gains in Podravka and Valamar, bourse data showed on Tuesday.
The bourse's 20-share benchmark CROBEX index climbed 0.56% to close at 2,452.60 points.
The CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten issuers in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, rose 0.68% to close at 1,490.39 points.
Food and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] was the most traded company with a turnover of 355,000 euro ($375,000) as its shares appreciated 1.38% to finish at 147 euro.
Second by turnover were shares of milling company and retailer Cakovecki Mlinovi [ZSE:CKML] with some 206,000 euro. They rose 2.86% to 10.80 euro on the news that local milling companies Mlin i Pekare and Plodinec and pension fund managers Allianz ZB and PBZ CO plan to submit a takeover bid for the 35.47% interest they do not already own in Cakovecki Mlinovi.
Hotel owner and manager Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] advanced 1.18% to 4.27 euro in a turnover of 108,000 euro.
The regular turnover reached 1.2 million euro from 1.0 million euro on Monday.
