SOFIA (Bulgaria), November 22 (SeeNews) – The outsourcing sector is expected to increase its contribution to the country’s GDP to 6.2% by 2020, the Bulgarian Outsourcing Association said on Tuesday.
The sector is expected to generate some 5.26 billion levs ($2.86 billion/2.7 billion euro) in sales revenue in 2020, the outsourcing association said in a press release following a business conference in Plovdiv.
In 2015, the outsourcing sector generated 2.73 billion levs in sales revenue, a 23% increase over the previous year and representing 3.41% of Bulgaria’s GDP.
“The companies from the outsourcing sector are beginning to offer more and more complex services, thus becoming strategic partners for their clients,” the association chairman, Stefan Bumov, said.
The average monthly salary in the sector stood at 2,400 levs in 2015, which is around three times higher than the average for the country.
