March 16 (SeeNews) - The number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Bosnia and Herzegovina rose to 24 after the Federation entity's health ministry reported that a fourth patient has tested positive for the disease.

At the same time, Bosnia's Serb Republic entity has confirmed another two COVID-19 cases, as their number is now 20, the entity's prime minister, Radovan Viskovic, said on Sunday.

Another 1,044 people in the Serb Republic are being monitored for symptoms of the disease.

On March 10, the Serb Republic government closed all schools and banned public gatherings for 21 days.

On Friday, Bosnia's state-level government closed the borders to foreigners coming from areas with a high number of COVID-19 cases. All Bosnian citizens arriving in the country will be subject to self-isolation of 14 days as of March 16.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is made up of two autonomous entities - the Federation and the Serb Republic.
