March 20 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as stock indices closed up, bourse data showed.
A total of 11,775 NIS shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 8.5 million dinars. NIS closed up 0.70% at 723 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session 0.77% higher at 728.10 points.
Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] led the blue-chip gainers' list, as its share price closed 3.03% higher at 851 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, rose 0.38% to 1,573.31.
The total turnover on the bourse increased to 1.63 billion dinars ($15.7 million/13.8 million euro) on Wednesday from 11.9 million on dinars on Tuesday, as 123 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the Belgrade Stock Exchange resulted in a turnover of 2.35 million dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 1.611 billion dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Wednesday.
