January 15 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as stock indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 1,550 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 1.1 million dinars. NIS closed down 0.13% at 742 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session up 0.19% at 803.31 points.
Industrial gases maker Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] led the blue-chip gainers' list as its share price rose 1.37% to 13,989 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed up 0.22% at 1,728.13.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 457.3 million dinars ($4.3 million/3.9 million euro) on Wednesday, down from 6.2 million dinars on Tuesday, as 184 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 5.4 million dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 443.8 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Wednesday.
