August 24 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Tuesday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 3,493 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 2.1 million dinars. NIS' share price went down 0.81% to 609 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 0.46% at 796.46 points.
None of the blue chip index members closed the session up on Tuesday.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 0.52% at 1,695.89.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 7.1 million dinars ($70,900/60,400 euro) on Tuesday, down from 7.7 million dinars on Monday, as 92 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 2.4 million dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 100,639 dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Tuesday.
