August 4 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 561 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 336,640 dinars. NIS closed down 0.66% at 600 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 0.11% at 776.11 points.
Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] led the blue-chip gainers' list as its share price rose 0.10% to 1,011 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 0.06% at 1,651.97.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 341.2 million dinars ($3.4 million/2.9 million euro) on Wednesday, down from 620.2 million dinars on Tuesday, as 31 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 1.3 million dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 339.6 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Wednesday.
