BELGRADE (Serbia), March 18 (SeeNews) – Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 28,997 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 14.9 million dinars. NIS closed down 4.11% at 513 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 0.52% at 652.51 points.
Industrial gases maker Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] led the blue-chip gainers' list as its share price rose 4.71% to 11,000 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 0.22% at 1,479.50.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 16.5 million dinars ($153,100/140,400 euro) on Wednesday, down from 268.2 million dinars on Tuesday, as 120 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 107,585 dinars.
No Treasury bonds changed hands on the stock exchange on Wednesday.
