September 15 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Belgrade Stock Exchange closed mixed on Wednesday, with oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generating the highest turnover, bourse data showed.
A total of 1,384 NIS shares changed hands on Wednesday, generating a turnover of 832,561 dinars. NIS also led the blue chip gainers as its share price went up 0.33% at 602 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, closed down 0.17% at 802.75 points.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed up 0.03% at 1,711.87 points.
The bourse's total turnover rose to 113.5 million dinars ($1.1 million/964,300 euro) on Wednesday, from 8.4 million dinars on Tuesday, as 45 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 94,350 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 112 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Wednesday.
