September 21 (SeeNews) - The net inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) into Montenegro rose to 285.8 million euro ($339 million) in the first seven months of 2020, from 241.4 million euro in the prior-year period, the central bank said, citing preliminary figures.
Total FDI inflow decreased to 419.8 million euro in the first seven months of 2020 from 448.2 million euro in January-July 2019, while FDI outflow declined to 134 million euro from 206.8 million euro, the central bank said.
The inflow of investments in companies and banks fell to 75.2 million euro in the period under review, from 167.8 million euro a year earlier, while investments in real estate went down to 51.6 million euro from 94.3 million euro.
FDI inflow in the form of intercompany lending increased to 265.2 million euro in the first seven months, from 173.1 million euro in the like period of 2019.
The net inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) into Montenegro grew to 344.7 million euro in 2019, from 322.5 million euro in the previous year.
