October 19 (SeeNews) - The Romanian arm of Swiss food and beverages group Nestle said on Thursday that its organic sales increased by 19% on the year in the first nine months of 2023.
The growth was supported by increases across all of Nestle Romania’s ten divisions, Silvia Sticlea, country manager at Nestle Romania, said in a press release. The overall value of organic sales in the first nine months through September was not disclosed.
Nestle’s organic sales in Europe rose by an annual 8.8%, while total sales reached 14.1 billion Swiss francs ($15.7 billion/14.9 billion euro) after a 1.3% increase in January-September. The regional performance was propelled by an 11% annual increase in pricing, as real internal growth (RIG) was negative at -2.3%.
Nestle group’s global organic sales rose by 7.8% on the year during January-September, as an 8.4% increase in pricing offset an RIG of -0.6%, the group said in a separate press release. Total reported sales inched down by an annual 0.4% to 68.8 billion Swiss francs, with the impact of foreign exchange and net acquisitions curbing revenues by 7.4% and 0.8%, respectively.
