July 27 (SeeNews) - The Romanian arm of Swiss food and beverages group Nestle said on Thursday that its organic sales increased by 19.2% on the year in the first half of 2023.
The growth was supported by increases across all of Nestle Romania’s ten divisions, Silvia Sticlea, country manager at Nestle Romania, said in a press release. The overall value of organic sales in the first half of 2023 was not disclosed.
“We wish to continue at the same pace, both in terms of business development and socially, so that we can enjoy together the tenth consecutive year of growth,” Sticlea added.
Nestle’s sales in Europe rose by an annual 8.9% to 9.5 billion Swiss francs ($11.92 billion/9.97 billion euro) during the first six months of 2023. The regional performance came on the back of an 11.3% annual increase in pricing, while real internal growth (RIG) was negative at -2.4%.
Nestle group’s global organic sales rose by 8.7% on the year to 46.3 billion Swiss francs during January-June, supported by a 9.5% increase in pricing which offset a RIG of -0.8%, the group said in a separate press release.
