April 13 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's Stopanska Banka Skopje [MSE:STB] said that its net profit fell to 509.7 million denars ($9.8 million/8.3 million euro) in the first quarter of 2021, from 546.1 million denars in the like period a year earlier.
Net interest income edged down 1% on the year to 919 million denars, whereas net fee and commission income rose 8.6% to 203.4 million denars, the bank said in a financial statement on Monday.
Net financial asset impairment losses increased 35.4% year-on-year to 240.6 million denars in the January-March period.
Stopanska Banka Skopje's assets amounted to 106.3 billion denars at the end of the March, up from 106 billion denars at the end of 2020.
Loans and advances to clients other than banks rose to 71.9 billion denars at the end of March from 71 billion denars at the end of December, while deposits from customers other than banks fell to 86.3 billion denars from 86.6 billion denars.
Stopanska Banka Skopje's shares traded at an average price of 1,150 denars on the Skopje bourse on Monday, the latest available bourse data showed.
