August 20 (SeeNews) - N. Macedonia's Osiguruvanje Makedonija - Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) said that its net profit fell to 57.1 million denars ($1.0 million/928,000 euro) in the first half of 2019 from 63.2 million denars in the comparable period of 2018.
Osiguruvanje Makedonija's revenue edged down to 424.0 million denars in the January-June period of 2019 from 426.4 million denars in the same period of last year, the company said in an interim financial statement last week.
The insurer booked net earned premiums of 308.8 million denars in the review period, slightly down from 316.5 million denars the year before.
The company's expenses rose to 366.9 million denars in the first six months of the year from 363.2 million denars in the like period of 2018.
Osiguruvanje Makedonija, set up as a state insurer in 1945, became part of Austria's Vienna Insurance Group in 2013.
