May 17 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based construction company Granit [MSE:GRNT] said that its net profit totalled 387,000 denars ($6,600/6,300 euro) in the first quarter of 2022, compared with the 3.4 million denars net profit booked in the like period a year earlier.
Total operating expenses increased by an annual 14% to 825.8 million denars in the first quarter of the year, the company said in an interim financial statement filed with the bourse in Skopje on Monday.
Total operating revenue was up 14% year-on-year to 826 million denars in the January-March period.
Skopje-based Granit was established in 1952 and privatised in 1996. Its main activities include construction and rehabilitation of roads. The company owns several concrete and asphalt plants and stone quarries.
Granit's shares last traded on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) on May 13, at an average price of 1,450 denars.
