December 2 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's economy expanded by an estimated 2% year-on-year in real terms in the third quarter of 2022, after growing by an annual 2.8% in the previous three-month period, the country's statistical office said on Friday, citing preliminary data.
Gross domestic product (GDP) totalled 202 billion denars ($3.5 million/ 3.3 million euro) at current prices in the July-September period, Makstat said in a statement.
Exports of goods and services rose by an annual 27.2% in nominal terms, while imports increased by 31.1% in the quarter under review.
Household final consumption grew by an estimated 18.2% on the year in the third quarter.
North Macedonia's GDP expanded by an estimated 4% in 2021 after falling by 4.5% in 2020.
