SKOPJE (North Macedonia), March 11 (SeeNews) – The number of building permits issued in North Macedonia in January rose 62.4% year-on-year to 307, the state statistical office said on Monday.
The estimated value of the construction projects covered by building permits issued in January increased by an annual 68.1% to 4.1 billion denars ($73.5 million/65.4 million euro), Makstat said in a statement.
In January, 157 permits were issued for new buildings, 59 for civil engineering projects, and 91 for reconstruction projects. Of the total number of permits, 175 were issued to private individuals.
During the review period, 810 dwellings were planned for construction, with a total usable floor area of 60,233 sq m.
