April 5 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based pharmaceuticals producer Alkaloid [MSE:ALK] said its shareholders approved a proposal to distribute a gross dividend of 440 denars ($7.9/7.2 euro) per share for 2021.
The company will distribute dividend from its last year's profit, Alkaloid said in a bourse filing on Monday.
The planned dividend payout is higher than the gross dividend of 400 denars per share for 2020 the company distributed last year.
The drug maker's consolidated net profit grew by 12% year-on-year to 1.3 billion denars in 2021.
Alkaloid's shares traded at an average price of 17,997 denars on the stock exchange in Skopje on Monday, according to the most recent data available from the bourse.
The company's share capital is divided into 1,431,353 shares of 25.56 euro in par value each, according to its latest annual financial statement.
Alkaloid has two subsidiaries in North Macedonia as well as 18 subsidiaries and two representative offices abroad - in Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, the U.S. and the UK.
The company employs 1,860 people in North Macedonia and 560 in its subsidiaries outside the country.
